Classroom Substitute Teachers
The person(s) selected for this position will be called upon on an as-needed basis when a classroom teacher or classroom assistant is absent. We have a student population ranging from 18 months through eighth grade.
The successful candidate(s) must have a high school diploma and must have previous experience in a licensed education facility or school. Some college is preferred. The person(s) selected will exhibit a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, parents, and other employees, exhibit proficient written and oral English communication skills, be willing to fulfill the responsibilities in accordance with the Montessori philosophy of the school, and, most importantly, be willing and able to come to work on short notice.
Compensation: Starting hourly wage is $12-$14/hour based on education and experience
AFTeR-SCHOOL CLASSROOM ASSISTANT
Westside Montessori school in West Houston has an opening for a part-time, after-school Classroom Assistant in our Toddler program (ages 18 months to 3 years).
The hours for this position are 2:30-5:30 p.m. and would begin immediately.
The successful candidate MUST possess a high school diploma and MUST have previous child care experience in a licensed childcare facility. Candidates with a college degree and previous Montessori experience will be given preference. The person selected must exhibit a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to the children, parents and other employees, exhibit excellent communication skills, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the Montessori philosophy of the school.
