Distance Learning

Westside Montessori School Distance Learning 1
Montessori education, more than most approaches to schooling, heavily depends on the learning environment and the Montessori materials in the classroom. Therefore, the lessons that our teachers deliver online during distance learning are congruent with Montessori principles while recognizing the challenges this presents in the home environment.

Our faculty have carefully provided activities in which the children can engage easily from home. They are utilizing tools such as Google Classroom, SeeSaw, Zoom, YouTube, Outlook, and many more in order to best accommodate learning from a distance while continuing to keep lessons and student engagement age-appropriate and suited to different learning styles. Your students, depending on level, may engage via email, videos, and/or phone/video calls as a way to participate.
Teachers are available Monday through Friday for “office hours” so that students and parents may check in with them regarding any questions they may have.

We understand that Distance Learning can be a challenge, especially if we don’t have access to all of the tools necessary to ensure success. If your family is in need of technology or any materials that will improve your Distance Learning experience, please ">contact our office. We are all in this together!
